Religious Education
Parish Religious Education - Our program is dedicated to teaching the Gospel message of Jesus Christ, and showing the way to live out this message in daily life. This is done as a partnership with the parents of our religious education students. We promote knowledge of faith, liturgy, and the sacraments, as well as encourage a deeper prayer life, and moral formation.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) - Are you interested in becoming a Roman Catholic but are not baptized? Have you been baptized into another denomination, but wish to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church? The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the normal way in which unbaptized adults and those seeking to join the Church are guided and supported by faith sharing and instruction with members of our RCIA process. Here at Sacred Heart, we begin in mid-October with an introductory session, which is followed by “Come and See”. The process itself is held after the 9:30 Mass beginning with the first week of Advent and extends to Easter Vigil. Involvement in the RCIA does not oblige anyone to commit to conversion. It is a sincere invitation to explore and discover and share one’s faith. The Holy Spirit takes over from there. Interested? Call 203.544.8345.
